A.J. Koontz, a dynamic real estate executive with 12+ years of experience in data-driven real estate investment, is Managing Partner, CIO, and CEO at Charles Brooks Holding Company (CBHC).

As Managing Partner, CIO, and CEO of CBHC, A.J. oversees all operations of the real estate investment fund, with a focus on leading investment strategies, capital stack, data, and technology development to support the innovative trade strategies in the rapidly changing real estate marketplace.

Prior to launching CBHC, A.J. entered the distressed market in 2009 with multiple Delaware LP funds set up to purchase distressed assets. During this time, he played an integral in launching Lumentum, a leading source of real estate data, analytics, and business intelligence for tax lien and distressed real estate investors. Currently, A.J. serves as an Advisor to Lumentum, LLC, providing strategic insights to the leadership teams. He is also a Co-Founder of iBuyer.com, a one-stop shop to find and compare “iBuyer’s” for the fastest, most convenient, and frictionless way to sell a home.

A.J. earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating at the top of his class from the Warrington College of Business.
